Arts & Craft Carved Oak-Cased Wall Clock
This lovely arts & crafts antique clock may be a marriage piece. It is very much in the arts and crafts style and has the initials EMW and the date 1898 carved into the top. Around the edge of the case, to the front and sides are carved Latin words which read: 'Nec Principium Nec Finem [side] Carpe Diem Olat Sine Mora [front] Nec Mortem Amor Vita Sue Haben [side]'. The clock face is a sheet of copper whcih looks to have been hammered with a pattern and roman numerals. The clock has a basic movement which is not in working order and needs some attention.
Condition: The clock movement is in need of repair or replacement as it is not currently in working. The clock case has some scuffing and wear consistent with age, and there are a few small marks. The copper face has some tarnishing , discolouration and surface corrosion.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
32cm high, 27cm wide, 12cm deep. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
