A superb pair of Art Deco cut glass vases cut and designed by Alfred Stossel in Steinschonau,now Kamenicky Senov, Czechoslovakia in 1926-1930.This gorgeous green glass on a cranberry foot is an unusual colour combination. The glass is heavy good quality crystal in perfect condition apart from a tiny fleabite on the foot of one of the vases. The vases are 15cm high and 11.5 cm at the widest point.
Stossel left Czechoslovakia during the 1930's after cutting glass for the likes of Moser and came to England to work for Thomas Webb and Son. He was regarded in the top three glass cutters in the country and his work can be found in the Glass Museum in his native town of Steinschonau,now Kamenicky Senov. Please contact us with any queries.
