Antique Childs Windsor Rocking Chair
Charming Antique Childs Windsor Rocking Chair made in Alderwood from the Thames Valley area. The chair seat is constructed from a single piece of timber which is the traditional method found in Windsor chairs. All turnings are bold, the arms are shaped & there is a removeable copper wooden ended rod which acts as a restraining bar.
We would not recommend using the bar if the chair is to be used by young children. When this was made such considerations were not a worry.
Original rockers. There is evidence of historical worm, now treated as a precaution. A lovely little chair.
