A charming antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement rosewood nursing chair after a design by Bruce Talbert dating from circa 1880. In beautifully figured rosewood it features a lobed top rail and carved uprights above an upholstered back rest over a spindle gallery and stands on ring and twist turned legs with original brass casters. This design of chair were often made by Gillows of Lancaster, this chair isn’t stamped with a makers mark but the casters are stamped “John Reid & Sons Meadow Road, Leeds”. This is a low seated chair that would make a wonderful dressing table chair or bedroom chair.

Good condition, solid and sturdy. Lovely warm patina to the rosewood. Upholstery is clean and sound.
