The movement is by Paul Cattaneo of Reigate. It is 8-day with a painted dial with roman numerals, a seconds and date dial. In the arch there is a country cottage and garden scene with floral decoration at the corners. The case is West country probably from the Bristol area, the crinkly edge to the hood door is typical of a case from this region. This is flanked by fluted columns with brass capitals. The trunk has canted corners with the door and base veneered in curl mahogany and crossbanded with boxwood line inlay. Circa 1840
