A Georgian pencil drawing of a lady and child
A fragment of a pencil sketch dating to the 18th century. The fragment, perhaps a study for a portrait, shows the figure lady in the classical style cradling a child. The sketch remains in a 19th c frame where it was placed some years ago.
Provenance: Inherited by the previous owner and by repute originally from a wealthy Buckinghamshire estate
