A rare dark oak country chair from mid 17th century commonwealth period.
The cresting rail with carved flowerheads over an arcaded back panel flanked by stiles decorated with roundels. The lower back rail with characteristic punch work

One arm with the initial G M

The plank seat supported by turned and molded baluster legs united by periphoral stretchers.
