19thc Rosewood Mantel Clock Clockmaker to Queen Victoria
A small rosewood mantel antique clock of simple form, made for Charles Frodsham Clockmaker to Queen Victoria. The rectangular case has a simple convex molded base and is veneered in choice rosewood. The brass bezel has a thick bevel edge glass, and an enamel dial, signed by the clockmaker and retailer Charles Frodsham, maker to The Queen. The 8 day bell striking movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and is stamped on the backplate "Charles Frodsham, Clockmaker to The Queen Paris".
Current Condition
The case is in excellent original condition and has a lovely patina, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. The dial has two faint marks around the XII(see photos) If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.

19.00cm wide 22.50cm high 12.00cm deep (7.48 inches wide 8.86 inches high 4.72 inches deep) We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
