19th Cent Oak 8 Day Long case Clock

A handsome mid 19th longcase clock by Joseph Alldritt of Burton on Trent, Staffs. He is listed as working there around 1842.
The nice quality case is in oak with decorative mahogany panels and mahogany cross banding. It has a swan neck pediment with gilt ball and eagle finial.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has an attractive painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.
The case is in good unrestored condition and has retained its original finish. The swan neck pediment has been repaired some time in the past and the case has the inevitable minor knocks and veneer chips associated with over 150 years of use.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
220cm (86.5") high excluding finial
51cm (20") wide
25cm (10") deep
Free local delivery (40mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.1
