A 19th Century Pocket Barometer.

With a gilt brass outer, topped by a lanyard, hanging loop. The rotating bezel marked for altitude, surrounding the silvered dial, with a barometric pressure ring, and weather indication, 'RAIN, CHANGE, FAIR'. The barometer by MDS LONDON. Complete with the silk and velvet lined Morocco leather case.

Date circa 1870.
Height 3 inches, 7.5cm.
