Mould block for plaster casting,in maple still retaining good definition so probably not used so much. A heavy block that is self supporting so can rest easily on a flat surface. circa 1700s.
We believe this,based on design is from Italy, its style is that of a volute as often found above ionic columns..
Size 10 1/2" by 4"
Tickness 1 3/4" We welcome visits to our 3000 sq ft warehouse in Norwich (postcode NR18 9PX), but please ask first as this is by appointment only. If travelling by train , we can meet you at Norwich Station or more locally, Wymondham Station.
