A handsome 17th century oak chair with presence and a deal of fine carving as well. I've lived with this chair for a while and always thought that it hailed from Derbyshire but lately I've seen this style attributed to South Yorkshire. Whether or not there is any truth in the telling I will have to give the origin as Derbyshire/Yorkshire.
