Set of Six Rosewood Balloon Back Chairs c1850

Description
A fine set of six rosewood balloon back chairs c1850. Exquisitely carved balloon back, cross-rail and centre splat. Serpentine seat frame with show-wood beads supported on elegant French cabriole legs to the front out-swept back legs. Newly and traditionally re-upholstered crown-top, over-stuffed seats - retaining its original hessian horse-hair rolls. Upholstered in Nantucket Sesame (F0594/45) by Clarke & Clarke - view image on our website or request a free sample. Maximum chair measurements are 87 cm height, 44 cm width and 48 cm overall depth. Seat depth is 40 cm.These chairs are in excellent condition having been fully and sympathetically restored and reupholstered to a very high standard. Sound joints throughout.
