Description

Early 19th century solid satinwood box inlaid in a geometric pattern with ebony and bone. Ebony inlaid edging. Solid quarter-cut satinwood construction. The satinwood having developed a beautiful antique patina. Traditional south Asian - probably Sri Lankan given the materials used. Substantially sized. The box measures 35 x 23 x 11.5 cm (externally). Internal dimensions are 33 x 21 x 10.5 cm.
