Description

A charming early 19th-century, late Georgian fruitwood dresser with mahogany crossbanding, showcasing a beautiful golden colour. The original boarded plate rack features horizontal shelves with raised lips to securely hold plates, topped by a moulded cornice and straight frieze. The rack includes two graduated shelves above a bank of four small crossbanded drawers and is secured to the dresser base with sturdy vertical tenons. Below, the dresser has a stunning fruitwood top with mahogany cross banding, above three drawers above two cupboards, each with original brass knob handles. The cupboards are deceptively deep, extending behind the central panel. This piece retains a superb, untouched rich color and patina.
