Description

A stunning and finely crafted early 19th-century late George III period mahogany Canterbury, or magazine rack. It features three solid saddle top mahogany rail divisions, with turned uprights at each corner. The front frieze houses a mahogany oak-lined drawer, fitted with a pair of turned brass ring handles. The piece is supported on tall slender turned legs with original brass castors. Made in England, circa 1800, it remains in very good condition, structurally sound, and showcases a beautiful warm patina to the mahogany.
