A fine quality 19th century English Victorian period saddle seat desk chair, constructed of solid mahogany with a brown upholstered backrest and armrests, circa 1880. The mahogany office chair benefits from a curved, deep-buttoned padded backrest, secured to wraparound upholstered arms finished with hand-tacked brass studs, supported by two shaped back supports and two turned arm supports. This beautiful desk armchair sits on two turned front legs and a pair of back splayed mahogany cabriole legs connected with curved stretcher, terminating on the original solid porcelain castors. The office chair is extremely comfortable to sit on and the seat height of this chair is 47.5cm.
