A fine quality 19th century English Victorian period desk chair, constructed of solid mahogany with a green upholstered backrest and armrests, circa 1860. The mahogany office chair benefits from a curved, deep-buttoned padded backrest, secured to wraparound upholstered arms finished with hand-tacked brass studs, supported by two shaped back supports and two turned arm supports. This beautiful revolving chair sits on four splayed mahogany cabriole legs, terminating on the original solid brass castors. The swivel chair rotates 360 degrees and the mechanism runs smoothly. The office chair is extremely comfortable to sit on and the seat height of this chair is 47cm.
