Large Chinese Table Lamp

Description
Superb Chinese porcelain square section vase of large proportions which at some time has been damaged at the top and cut down for conversion to a table lamp. The vase dates from the second quarter of the 19th century and is superbly decorated with exotic birds and butterflies. It has a mark to the base and the vase has been drilled through the side near the bottom to take the cable out rather than damage the mark by drilling though the base. Rubber feet have been added to each corner to protect furniture.DateMid 19th Century :

ConditionVase has been reduced to the top and had a hole drilled to allow for passage of cable. The lamp is newly rewired and has in-line switch.
