Description

Late 17th century, maker's mark " I B" unknown not recorded, although the mark has been seen on an London spoon 1689.

The back of the bowl with faint scroll work centred by a ribbed rat-tail, engraved 'JWS' to the front of the stem and 'IW' to the reverse.

18.5cm long weighs 1.44 troy ozs (45 grams.)

Overall condition is good and has no repairs, very slight crease on the stem, London mark and Lion readable.

Polishing over the last 335 years has worn out the lace back decoration on the rear of the bowl which can be faintly seen.
