Description

A beautiful and substantial Chinese Sang de Boeuf flambe porcelain bottle vase with a squat formed body and tall cylindrical neck.
There is a blue Yongzheng reign mark on the base and possibly of the period.
The rim glaze is mushroom or biege in colour which blends into a dark oxblood red and then at the base a vibrant blue.

It is a splendid and impressive ceramic work from a byegone age.
The light area at the top of the neck on the main photo is a reflection.

11 1/4 inches(28.5cm) tall,9 1/4 inches(23.4cm) wide

Chips to the base rim and firing bubbles in the surface of the glaze,otherwise excellent.
