Description

A stunning example of a traditional Chinese oxblood or sang de boeuf vase.
If you look into the glaze there are all manner of interesting variations within it giving the sought after oxblood appearance.The vase dates from the Daoguang period,so is a good early and sought after survivor.
Beautiful piece.

There is one thin graze or scratch,a discoloured firing fault on the rim and the excess glaze on the footrim has been ground off,otherwise very good condition.
